It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a solid 17 years since the final GM-produced Pontiac Trans Am rolled off of the assembly line. The world hasn’t been quite the same since, and although the Camaro is back and better than ever, those partial to the arrowhead version have been either longing for a new one, or simply continue to cling to their old cars.
Of course these days, if you want a new Trans Am, you’ll have to turn to third-party builder Trans Am Worldwide. Trans Am Worldwide Announces the Release of the 50th Anniversary Edition Trans Am
Trans Am Worldwide, exclusive builders of the modern Trans Am has announced the release of the 2019 Anniversary Edition Trans Am. This edition will be limited to only 8 convertibles and 8 Hard-Tops and comes in either manual or automatic transmissions.
This release comes on the heels of the sold-out 50 unit 1000hp Super Duty edition, which debuted at the 2017 New York Auto show.
“We took styling cues of the original ‘69 Trans Am and gently blended those into the current modern design, giving us a final look reminiscent of multiple generations,” said Co-Founder, Tod Warmack.
The edition will go on sale beginning Monday, July 15, 2019 with prices starting at $123,000. Each car will come in the original white and blue stripe combination or an optional black with gold stripes.
Customers will have a choice to add one of three performance options ranging from 600-800hp and an upgraded Brembo brake package.
