Dodge Unleashes 797-Horsepower 2019 Challenger Hellcat Redeye

Dodge just announced a new trim level for the Challenger SRT Hellcat, being called the Redeye, that will bring some major power to the 2019 model. The 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Redeye will roll into the year as the model powerful production car for 2019. This powerful production car will make 797 horsepower and 707 lbs-ft of torque, making more power than the 755 horsepower Corvette ZR1.

When Dodge released the Demon, they made it clear that it was a one and done run, but people still didn’t want to believe it. By the end of 2017 when no teasers or marketing started for a 2019 Demon, people started to get the hint. What Dodge did promise their fans was that they were going to make sure to keep the spirit of the Demon alive, and they kept their promise with the 2019 Dodge Challenger Redeye.

While the Challenger Hellcat Redeye doesn’t quite make the 840 horsepower, nipping at 800 horsepower with 14-1/2 pounds of boost, it is closer than any other Hellcat. Not only is it the most powerful car for 2019, it’s the second most powerful production car ever, the Demon being the first, of course. The car has many of the components from the now of out production Demon.

Powering the Redeye is a very similar blown 6.2-liter Hemi that has a 2.7-liter supercharger, upgraded internal components, a better valvetrain, improved fuel system with two dual stag fuel pumps, and upgraded oiling system. Backing the engine is an 8-speed automatic with no manual transmission option. It has the Torque Reserve system, SRT power Chiller, and the After-Run Chiller. It also get the Line Lock Launch Control system Dodge rolled out in the Demon.

A new unique component for the Hellcat Redeye is the aggressive dual-snorkel hood that allows air to reach the new air inlet box that comes from the hood scoops, headlight, and inlet by the driver’s side wheel liner. Another Redeye feature The rest of the car is the same as the Hellcat.

Dodge is claiming that the Hellcat Redeye Widebody will run 10.8-seconds at 131 miles per hour in the quarter mile on stock tires, while the base Redeye runs 11.1-seconds in the quarter. The car is also said to have a top speed for 203 miles per hour.
