Regardless of the size or stature of the event, when attending any car show, one car that will always be there is a Tri-Five. However, coming across one that is truly unique will make you fall in love with the Bel Air all over again and this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom is definitely one of those cars.
Keeping with the two-tone paint theme with a sinister twist, the matte black/gloss black finish is eye-catching to say in the least. The aggressively low stance is achieved with an airbag suspension and Raceline Billet Edition black wheels. Although the color-scheme and lowered stance are not even close to being the most evil part of the four-door Bel Air. Sitting in place of the L6 or small V8 the car was most likely built with is a monstrous 525 horsepower LS3 crate engine from Chevrolet Performance.
The interior is done in a very sleek and simple way, mixing leather and alcantara to bring a more modern style borrowed from the owners previous daily driver. All the while keeping a stock style dash and a black Chevy bowtie steering wheel. Blending the new and old school styles are a few clues to the cars sinister side, like the sign of the devil appearing at the center of the gauges and the fully functioning paddle shifters to control the six-speed LT80 transmission.
The only thing that would be better than catching this beast at a car show would be seeing it in action on the street. From the perfect black on black paint to the shaved door handles, it would be undeniable that you were witnessing something truly unique. Likewise, the unmistakable tone screaming from the Borla exhaust would back up that feeling.
