Thanks to dealerships like Galpin Ford, other dealers are again breaking away from status quo and building custom vehicles for customers.
This particular custom is from Lasco Ford in Fenton, Michigan. Nicknamed “The Coyote”, New Vehicle Internet Sales Manager Paul Zaagman’s tongue-in-cheek presentation keeps the video moving as he gives us the full walk-around of this impressive build!
Inspired by Galpin Ford’s “Rocket” Mustang, The Coyote’s carbon fiber front clip is the first thing you notice with its wide opening and aggressive look. It mates perfectly into the matching carbon fiber hood complete with functional vents, and an unpainted section serving as a stripe. It goes nicely with the factory-ordered black roof.
Rolling on a set of super wide, black Ferrada wheels, the rubber of choice is a set of Michelin Super Sport Tires measuring 275-40-20 in front, and 295-35-20 out back. More carbon fiber graces the rocker panels and ends up in the rear in the form of a GT350R-style carbon fiber spoiler that’s complimented by a smaller air foil mounted at the top of the rear glass. The rear sports a set of Ford GT-inspired tail lights add to the custom look of The Coyote, and it’s all finished with a carbon fiber diffuser.
A full, Ford Racing track suspension gives The Coyote an aggressive stance, and under the hood resides a Roush TVS 2.3L supercharger, a full Kooks Headers exhaust system and other go-fast goodies that pump the 5-liter up to 650 hp and beyond.
The beauty of the dealership custom is that they can build one for you as well—just the way you want it. See something you don’t like, or would like to see? Ask them, they can most likely build it for you! We’d like to see more dealerships getting involved and building custom one-offs for their customers like The Coyote. Let’s see them!
