If you’re the owner of a now classic GM G-body vehicle, it can be worth getting a replacement RPO/SPID label — especially if yours is missing or you had to replace the trunk lid at one time or another. After nearly 40 years, most original trunklids have been replaced due to rust, and with it, the original RPO label has been lost.
The label is important, especially if you’re trying to break down the original options to the car. From drivetrain, to suspension, rear axle ratio, and even power options in the cabin, it told you everything you needed to know about your car.
G Body Parts have stepped up to the plate to recreate the original labels found under the trunk, including the jack label, as well as some door decals for restoration purposes. You can get more information HERE.

GENERAL MOTORS REGULAR PRODUCTION OPTIONS (RPO) CODES
What is an RPO code? The regular production code (RPO) is the code used when the vehicle was built including all optional equipment listed by code which includes letters and/or number. Where can I find these codes on my vehicle? Most General Motors vehicles have the RPO sticker, also called the Service Parts Identification label, in the truck most often on the spare tire cover.
Trucks usually have the RPO sticker in the glove box. Why do I need to know the RPO? With some replacement parts, such as the alternator, it is important to know which unit the vehicle came with from the factory. The only way to know is from the RPO code. TECH TIP When ordering parts for your vehicle, take a photo of the vehicle identification number (VIN) and take to the parts store or the parts department at a dealer, to be ready to answer any questions that they might ask. This saves a lot of time and makes sure that the correct part is being ordered for the vehicle.
Order your replacement today. 10-14 day production time. Please upload a photo of your SPID decal and a photo of your VIN tag and RPO Codes. We will complete the artwork and confirm once order is placed.
Flat rate express shipping of $10.95 domestically.
