The Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, Nevada is host to The Ron Fellows Driving School that offers a special 2 day program with the intent to teach C7 Corvette owners how to race their cars on a track. Besides sounding like an all around good time, the class provides the initial retail Corvette purchasers a venue to complete exercises in dynamic car control and proper cornering techniques as well as to develop many other driver skills.
As a former Corvette Racing driver and NASCAR road course ringer, Ron Fellows has won multiple driving championships and is a class winner in every major long distance sports car race. As a formidable driving course, his performance driving school that was established in 2008, offers Corvette owners the chance to strengthen their personal driving performance through a precision detailed curriculum and in 2018 organized a special event giving 20 lucky drivers a once in a life time opportunity.
Chevrolet needed 20 2019 Corvette ZR1s from Michigan and the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School was up to the task. 20 fortunate drivers met up with Ron and his sons Sam and Patrick in Detroit to make a 2,300 mile road trip to deliver 20 brand new ZR1s to Pahrump, Nevada.
The group successfully delivered the cars the same week they were due to hit the race track. The convoy was documented in a video put together by his sons and posted on Facebook. In the post, Ron said, “This is no joke! One year ago we completed a 3-day drive from Detroit, MI to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School in Pahrump, NV (approximately 2,300 miles). My sons Sam & Patrick documented our trip and put together this cool video. Enjoy!” You can view the 2019 Corvette ZR1 road trip video here:
