Vengeance Racing is raising hell with their latest builds in a long line of over a decade of building the baddest street cars around. While they have spent a lot of their time perfecting the tuning and performance packages for late mode GMs, they like to spend a little time out of their comfort zone and take a day off from build record breaking C7 Corvettes.
With this newest build, they were contacted to build a Dodge Demon that crosses into the coveted four digit range for a customer of theirs. Since they already have all the right resources, tools, and contacts, and a great tuning program, it just seems natural that they would be able to conquer the challenge.
It is clearly mission accomplished with this Dodge Challenger Demon. Vengeance Racing build upon on the magic Dodge threw into the ultra powerful OEM foundation, and took it to a whole new level. They wanted to keep as many of the factory parts in tact as possible, and then optimize performance. Check out their baseline testing on the dyno here where the car performs pretty much exactly as expected in stock form:
The VR1200 Dodge Demon reaches over 1,000 rear wheel horsepower without the use of nitrous, which was something the owner didn’t want to mess with. They instead went a different route and opted to upgrade the supercharger, give the Demon a set of headers and connection pipes, and upgraded the fuel system in order to handle E85 fuel. The complete list includes:
- Whipple 4.5L supercharger upgrade
- Whipple 180mm “big bore” throttle body and intake kit
- Kooks longtube header system and connection pipes
- ATI 10% overdrive harmonic balancer
- Gates 10-rib HD supercharger belt
- Fuel Injector Connection 1,300cc fuel injector set
- Triple-pump in-tank fuel system
- Brisk spark plugs
- 160-degree thermostat
- Custom tuning
Their next step with this Dodge Demon is to take it the track and shatter the current Dodge Demon 1/4-mile record.
