VIDEO: Everything You Need to Know About the Anderson Composites SA Carbon Heat Extractor Hood

For the 2018-2019 Mustang GT & EcoBoost, the Anderson Composites SA Carbon Heat Extractor Hood can really liven up the front styling of your ‘Stang. If you’re looking to give your Mustang a different look, choosing carbon fiber is a great option, but it’s not just the carbon that gives it a mean appearance. The styling of the hood incorporates functional and aggressive features like the heat extractors themselves, and how they are placed on the hood.

The jump out design of the hood is focused on the large side vents. There are four vents on the hood on each side, and each vent has a removable mesh. Although it is a direct replacement hood for the 2018 and 2019 Mustang GT and EcoBoost cars, it requires the use of hood pins and a heat shield, for safety reasons.

Carbon fiber is one of those materials that can be left unpainted as a statement piece, but likewise, it can be painted to match the rest of the car if you just want to take advantage of its lightweight and durable features. Either way, you’re getting a ton of functionality out of the hood’s design.

Installation is said to be easy to install, and is estimated to take about an hour. If you want the step by step process of installing one, you can start the video at around 1:05 to see what tools you need, removing your old hood and how to store it, and then all the way through getting it on the car.

When it’s all said and done, you will have a hood that not only transforms the look of your Mustang, but also adds to the car’s performance and functionality. Getting it on the car is pretty straightforward, and this video from AmericanMuscle.com will help you with any hiccups you might have during installation.
