Ken Block has been thrashing vehicles in his Gymkhana series over the last decade, from Mustangs to trucks and imports. Over the last two years, he’s been secretly building this 1977 Ford F150 behind the scenes. Built in dedication to his late father, who always relied on Fords for the day-to-day grind.
Now in time for the 10th Gymkhana, this regular cab/short bed ’77 F150 has lent itself as the basis for Block’s new steed.
Packing a 914 hp twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost power plant, full Detroit Speed suspension and just about everything that the aftermarket could throw at it. Toyo Proxes sit on all four corners, and wrap around fifteen52 wheels — that are designed specifically for this truck.
Ford Performance also stepped up big time, with high performance parts and a very unique intake manifold that sticks up out of the hood, with a pair of protruding snails that nearly triple the horsepower of the factory EcoBoost engine. While it’s too soon to see the truck in action, we will get a viewing of the drifting F150 in the coming weeks — so stay tuned!
