Danny Schatz is a 10-time champion for the World Of Outlaws race series. Last year, five of those victories were assisted through Ford Performance. Ford Performance is already the leading provider of engines for the Tony Stewart/Curb Agajanian Racing Team and supplies all Ford Performance racing engines. However, now Ford is taking things a step forward by coming out as their new primary sponsor once again.
Due to the sponsorship, Schatz has stated that the new car for the 2021 season will be painted in the Iconic Ford Silver. With the return of Ford Performance as the team’s sponsor, there will be heavy focus put on Danny’s FPS 410 engine. Ford Performance Motorsports powertrain supervisor, Christian Hertrich, has stated “We’re looking forward to taking what we learned about the FPS 410 engine last year and capitalize on the strong teamwork we developed to make 2021 even better,” he has also made it clear that they plan to accomplish this via updating the software as well as various other hardware upgrades.
With this being Schatz’s 25th season Ford Performance is also being joined by Rush Truck Centers, Advance Auto Parts, and Carquest as sponsors for this new silver bullet. Schatz has had a long career as a 10-time World Of Outlaws champion, team owner, and Nascar legend. Because of this, Ford Performance will be looking to carry the champ through many more victories. Ford has been showing up in the news a lot recently, could it be that this renewed sponsorship could be a way to advertise something big?
Recently we’ve been informed of a trademark renewal for the Thunderbird name, the Mach-E, the electrification of the entire Mustang platform within the decade, and now this sponsorship? It may be that this is part of Ford’s strategy to overtake the competition, perhaps we will hear more about this in the future but for now, it’s just speculation.
