Mickey Thompson Announces New Baja Pro XS Tire Line
Extreme terrain tire available in 10 sizes
STOW, OHIO – Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has unveiled its Baja Pro XS tire—the world’s tallest DOT-approved light truck tire.
“With the launch of this new Baja Pro XS tire, we are getting back to our roots as the leader in extreme off-road tire innovation,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “The Baja Pro XS is taller and wider, and purpose-built to handle any terrain.”
Available in sizes ranging from 35 up to an incredible 58 inches tall, for wheel sizes 16 through 24 inches, the Baja Pro XS includes a directional tread pattern for balanced forward bite and circumferential tread elements for lateral grip.
Features include siping for smooth surface traction and additional lug flex, angled shoulder scallops to guide mud and loose earth into the Sidebiter cleats, mud scoops that provide a concave surface and create a void to keep mud from adhering, and a tread depth of 27/32 inches. With a tough, 4-ply bias construction, this tire can handle any terrain.
The new Baja Pro XS sizes include: 21/58-24LT, 19.5/54-20LT, 17/49-20LT, 19.5/46-20LT, 19.5/46-16LT, 15/43-20LT, 15/43-17LT, 35×13.50-17LT, 38×13.50-17LT & 40×13.50-17LT.
